It is with great joy that Father Bob announces that Cardinal Tobin has appointed Monsignor Chris Hynes, our weekend assistant from Seton Hall for the past 17 years, as the pastor of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Roseland, New Jersey in the Archdiocese of Newark. His appointment is effective February 1 as the pastor there is retiring on that day.  We are so grateful for Monsignor Chris Hynes's service and ministry to the parish of Saint Augustine for these many years and I know you will miss him.  Please pray for him, as this is his first pastorate which is always a challenge, that the Lord will empower him to be a good pastor and draw from the experiences here at Saint Augustine.
 
Monsignor Hynes’s last Masses at St. Augustine were on January 26, 2020.
